LEGAL ADVICE
JUSTICE is not an advisory agency and we do not accept cases for individuals. We can not offer you legal advice, but you can get the help you are looking for from the organizations listed below. Many offer free legal advice UK as well as on issues such as immigration and asylum, employment and housing.
Getting Legal Aid
If you have low income and your case is serious, legal assistance can pay some or all of your legal costs.
You could get legal help, for example, if:
You have been accused of a crime and you can go to jail
You or your children are at risk of domestic violence or forced marriage
You are being discriminated against
you will be homeless
You are taking a case to court under the Human Rights Law
you need family mediation
There are 2 types of legal assistance, for criminal and civil cases.
Civil cases are usually private disputes between people, for example, due to a broken relationship or a poor quality purchase. Civil cases also include disputes over governmental or local services, such as benefits or social assistance
Crimes are harmful acts such as violence or theft.
